Kagbar was a Lion‑Kin exile whose boundless enthusiasm and catastrophic curiosity made him as dangerous to his enemies as he was to his allies. Raised in the rigid order of the Scyonic Imperium, he spent most of his youth testing the patience of every instructor, officer, and magistrate unfortunate enough to cross his path. When his antics finally outpaced the Imperium’s tolerance, he was cast out into the Savage East to live among the blasphemers, heathens, and heretics. Kagbar took the sentence as a blessing. At last, he could do whatever he wanted — and he wanted quite a lot.

He carried himself with the earnest conviction of a hero in a story only he could hear, striking down all he perceived to be evil, even when the situation called for subtlety, restraint, or basic common sense. He tried to serve as the party’s negotiator at times, but his attempts at diplomacy often ended with someone offended, someone threatened, or someone being asked an extremely inappropriate question. Trouble followed him like a shadow, yet nothing ever seemed to dampen his spirit. For all his chaos, Kagbar meant well — and in a land as dangerous as the Eastern Echoes, sometimes that was enough.
